• Candidates must be between 21 years and 40 years as on the first day of January of the year of recruitment (as per the advertisement date). Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories as per UP government norms

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) from any recognized university. For Block Organizer / Platoon Commander posts under Home Guards Headquarters, UP, the mandatory educational qualification as per UP Home Guards Service Rules 1982, Part-4, Rule-8 is a Graduate degree from a recognized university (for non-departmental/civilian category).
• Desirable Qualification (Adhimani Arhat): As per UP Home Guards Service Rules 1982, Part-4, Rule-9, preference will be given to candidates who have: (a) served in a Provincial Army for up to two years, OR (b) obtained NCC ‘B’ certificate, OR (c) continuously worked in the Home Guards organization for a minimum of three years.

UPSSSC Block Organizer, Platoon Commander Recruitment 2026 Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates meeting the physical standards will be required to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Candidates who fail to complete the run within the prescribed time will be considered disqualified for selection.

Exam Pattern

The Main Written Examination will have one question paper containing 100 questions with a total time duration of 2 hours (120 minutes). All questions will be objective and multiple-choice type. Each question carries 1 mark. There is negative marking of 25% (¼ mark) for every wrong answer.

Selection Process

The selection process for UPSSSC Block Organizer and Platoon Commander Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Written Examination based on their normalised score in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025). Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and have been issued a score card by the commission are eligible to apply for the Main Examination.
• Main Written Examination (Likhit Pariksha): Selection will be based on the written examination consisting of 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks in 2 hours (120 minutes) with negative marking of ¼ mark per wrong answer.
• Physical Measurement Test: Qualifying in nature; candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in nature; candidates must complete the prescribed run within the specified time.
• Final Merit List: Will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Written Examination by candidates who qualify the physical tests.

Platoon Commander Salary :

Block Organizer: Level-5, ₹29,200-₹92,300 | Platoon Commander: Level-6, ₹35,400-₹1,12,400

HOW TO APPLY

• Step 1 – Login: Visit upsssc.gov.in and login using your PET-2025 Registration Number via OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email.
• Step 2 – Select Post: In the application section, select the post(s) you wish to apply for and confirm your educational qualification details.
• Step 3 – Fill Application Form: Enter all required personal details, category, reservation details, educational qualifications, board/university name, passing year, certificate/roll number, and other required information carefully.
• Step 4 – Upload Photo & Signature: Photo and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will be displayed automatically. No changes can be made to these.
• Step 5 – Pay Application Fee: Complete fee payment via Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / UPI or SBI e-Challan as per the prescribed fee for your category.
• Step 6 – Submit & Download: After successful fee payment/reconciliation, the application form will be submitted automatically. Download and print the application form for future reference.
