Age Relaxation
Candidates from reserved categories get standard relaxation in the upper age limit: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and additional relaxation for PwBD candidates (10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC-NCL, 15 years for SC/ST). Ex-servicemen get age relaxation equal to their length of service plus 3 years (UR/EWS), 6 years (OBC-NCL), or 8 years (SC/ST) after deducting service length from their actual age.
POST DETAILS, ELIGIBILITY and QUALIFICATION:
- Technician Grade I Signal: B.Sc. (Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Instrumentation) or Degree/Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Technician Grade III: 10th / Matriculation plus ITI from NCVT/SCVT in relevant trade or Act Apprenticeship in the concerned trade.
- Other Conditions: Candidates must satisfy prescribed medical standards and citizenship norms and should be within the specified age limit as on the date mentioned in CEN 02/2026.

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT): A single CBT of 90 minutes with 100 questions and negative marking of 1/3rd mark per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% (UR/EWS), 30% (OBC-NCL/SC), and 25% (ST).
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates are shortlisted at a 1:1 ratio against vacancies based on CBT merit, RRB-wise. Original documents must be produced; no extra time is given for missing certificates.
- Medical Examination (ME): Conducted by Railway Medical Authorities as per the medical standard (A3, B1, B2, or C1) prescribed for the specific post.

- Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Total Questions: 100 Objective Type Questions
- Total Marks: 100 Marks >Exam Duration: 90 Minutes
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer; no negative marks for unattempted questions.
Salary Details
- Technician Grade I Signal: Pay Level 5 (7th CPC) – Initial Pay Rs. 29,200/-
- Technician Grade III: Pay Level 2 (7th CPC) – Initial Pay Rs. 19,900/-
- Additional allowances such as DA, HRA, TA and other benefits will be admissible as per Railway rules for the respective pay levels.

- Log in and fill the online application form, selecting your preferred RRB and Pay Level (5 or 2).
- Provide order of preference for posts under the chosen RRB and Pay Level.
- Capture your live photograph through webcam or mobile camera as instructed (pre-existing photos are not accepted).
- Upload your signature in JPG/JPEG format (30–49 KB, black ink on white paper, running handwriting).
- Pay the examination fee online through net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
- Submit the application and save the registration number for future reference.
