UPSC Recruitment 2026 (Advt 07) – Selection Process
- Online Application Submission: Submit application at upsconline.nic.in by 17 July 2026.
- Shortlisting: UPSC shortlists candidates on the basis of information provided in the online application. Incorrect information may lead to rejection through computer-based shortlisting.
- Recruitment Test (RT) / Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) – if applicable: For posts where the number of applications is large, UPSC may conduct an RT or CRT before the interview. The test is ordinarily conducted at the following centres: Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Ranchi, and Visakhapatnam.
- Personality Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview. Candidates must bring the printout of their online application and all original/self-attested copies of supporting documents.
- Final Selection and Appointment: Appointment orders are issued by the respective Ministry/Department. UPSC may grant higher initial pay to candidates adjudged meritorious at the interview stage.
