Age Limit
- Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 20 April 2026 (last date of application). Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per Government rules.
- Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
POST DETAILS, ELIGIBILITY and QUALIFICATION:
- ASI (Radiographer): 12th pass with Science + 2 years Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology / Radiography from a recognised institute + minimum 1 year experience as Radiographer in a recognised Radiology Imaging Centre or 100 bedded hospital.
- ASI (Pharmacist): 12th pass with Science + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution + registered as Pharmacist under Pharmacy Act, 1948 + minimum 1 year experience as Pharmacist in a 100 bedded hospital.
- ASI (Operation Theatre Technician): 12th pass from a recognised board + Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology from a recognised institute + relevant experience as OT Technician/Assistant in a recognised hospital.
- ASI (Dental Technician): 12th pass with Science + Diploma/Certificate in Dental Technician/Mechanic course from a recognised institute + experience in dental lab/department of recognised hospital as per notification.

Candidates selected through SSB ASI Recruitment 2026 will be appointed as Assistant Sub Inspector in the paramedical cadre and will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. All posts under SSB Assistant Sub Inspector Recruitment 2026 carry the same pay level in the pay matrix.

SSB ASI Selection Process 2026
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest and weight as per SSB ASI paramedical standards. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed physical standards will be disqualified at this stage.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running and other endurance events as per Sashastra Seema Bal norms for Assistant Sub Inspector posts (pattern similar to other SSB non‑GD posts; details are given in the notification).
- Written Examination: Objective type written test/CBT consisting of questions from General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General English/Hindi and technical/paramedical subject related to the ASI post.
- Skill/Trade Test (if applicable): Practical test to assess professional skills for posts like Radiographer, Pharmacist, OT Technician and Dental Technician as per SSB ASI recruitment rules.
- Document Verification: Verification of original documents such as educational certificates, diplomas, experience certificates, caste certificate, age proof, identity proof and other required documents.
- Medical Examination: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME), if required, to check fitness as per SSB medical standards for paramilitary service.
- Final Merit List: Preparation of final merit list of candidates qualified in all stages, based on marks in written/technical tests and subject to qualifying PET, PST and medical standards.
