Punjabi Language Qualifying Test	For Group-C posts: Must secure minimum 50% marks in qualifying Punjabi Language test equivalent to Matriculation standard — as per Punjab Govt. Notification No. GSR72/Const./Art.309/Amd.(22)/2022 dated 28.10.2022
Mandatory Domicile Requirement	Valid Domicile/Residence Certificate of Punjab — not older than 5 years; mandatory for all candidates

Selection Process

The selection process consists of an Objective Type MCQ Written Examination (Part A + Part B) followed by Document Verification / Counselling. Final merit list is prepared on the basis of Part-B marks only.

• Merit List will be prepared based on Part-B marks only.
• Candidates whose names appear in the Merit List will be called for Document Verification / Counselling.

• Appearing in examination, being in merit list, or being called for counselling does not confer any right of recommendation — candidature is confirmed only after eligibility is fully established.

Qualifying Marks – Punjabi Language (Part A)

Minimum marks required to qualify Part A (Punjabi)	50%
Failure to secure 50% in Punjabi	Disqualified from final merit list irrespective of Part-B score

Tie-Breaking Rules

1st Tie-Break	Date of birth – older candidate given preference
2nd Tie-Break	Higher percentage in required educational qualification (Diploma)
3rd Tie-Break	Higher marks in Matriculation (10th standard)

HOW TO APPLY

• Applications must be submitted online only through the SSSB Punjab portal https://sssb.punjab.gov.in.
• Applications submitted by any other mode (post, in person, etc.) will not be accepted and will be rejected.
• New users must first register on the portal to generate a User ID and password, then log in and complete the online application.
• Once the application form is submitted, no changes/corrections can be made under any circumstances.
• Candidates who applied under Advt. No. 08/2023 must register afresh, generate a new User ID, and verify their previously submitted Application Number and Date of Birth during the process.

Documents to be uploaded at time of Online Application:

• 10th class certificate (for age proof and Punjabi language qualification)
• Educational/Technical qualification certificate (3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering)
• Domicile/Residence Certificate of Punjab (not older than 5 years)
• Caste Certificate (SC) if applicable — as per Punjab Govt. instructions
• Any other mandatory document as specified in the portal
