IOCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026
- Merit List Preparation: Candidates are ranked in descending order of percentage of marks in the prescribed qualification (aggregate of all years/semesters).
- Tie-breaking: In case of a tie in percentage, the candidate senior by age (earlier date of birth) is ranked higher. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation is ranked higher.
- Shortlisting for Document Verification: Candidates are shortlisted based on merit and available seats. Tentative date of publication of shortlist is 05 August 2026.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear in person with original documents. Tentatively scheduled from 11 August 2026 to 18 August 2026.
- Pre-Engagement Medical Examination: Candidates must pass a medical fitness test as prescribed under the Apprentices Act. Only candidates declared medically fit will proceed.
- Offer of Engagement: Candidates whose documents and medical fitness are found in order will receive a formal engagement offer.
IOCL Apprentice Salary 2026
The stipend for IOCL Apprentice 2026 will be paid as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) along with Corporation’s guidelines. The official notification does not mention a specific monthly stipend amount. Apprentices will not receive HRA or Company accommodation. They will, however, receive accident insurance coverage and safety equipment (safety shoes and helmet) for selected trades.

- Click on the relevant refinery unit’s apprentice engagement notification link.
- Read the detailed advertisement carefully.
- Ensure your profile is registered and 100% correctly updated on the relevant NAPS or NATS portal.
- Log in to the NAPS/NATS portal using your User ID/Email ID and apply for the apprenticeship opportunity under the applicable refinery’s Establishment ID.
- After successfully applying on NAPS/NATS, go back to www.iocl.com and click on the Microsoft Forms link for your refinery unit.
- Submit the additional information form with the same Enrolment No./Student ID/Registration No. used in Step I.
- Ensure all details in both steps are identical and correct.
