The UPSC CAPF AC 2024 Reserve List has been officially released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 12 June 2026 through an official press note. In response to a requisition placed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), UPSC has recommended 55 candidates from the revised reserve list to fill the remaining posts of Assistant Commandants based on the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2024. Additionally, 4 candidates have been separately added to the merit list in compliance with the judgment dated 10 December 2025 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in WP(C) No. 8304/2025. Pending Court Case – WP(C) No. 5877/2022

All 55 recommended candidates and the 4 additionally included candidates should be aware of an important legal caveat. The final selection and/or appointment of all recommended candidates is subject to the final outcome of WP(C) No. 5877/2022 in the matter of Diwakar Pande & Ors. vs. Ministry of Home Affairs & Ors., which is currently pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. The MHA will communicate next steps directly with eligible candidates once this matter is resolved.
