SAI Assistant Coach Salary 2026

• Pay Scale: Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) in Pay Band-II (Rs. 9,300-34,800) with Grade Pay Rs. 4,200.
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Leave, Medical Benefits as per Central Government Rules.
• Additional Benefits: Sports Kit as per SAI rules; promotion path to Coach, Sr. Coach, Chief Coach, and High Performance Coach.
• Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India across SAI Regional Centres, National Centres of Excellence, and Training Centres.

SAI Assistant Coach Selection Process 2026

• Two-Stage Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) (40% weightage) + Coaching Ability Test (CAT) (60% weightage).
• CBT Details: 100 MCQs (2 hours) covering Sports-specific knowledge (65 marks), Sports Science (25 marks), General Awareness/Reasoning/Aptitude (10 marks) with negative marking.
• CAT Shortlisting: 1:3 ratio (3 candidates per vacancy per sport/category) based on CBT performance.
• Final Selection: Merit list based on combined CBT+CAT scores followed by document verification and medical fitness.
• No interview; no re-evaluation/re-checking of answer sheets permitted.

• Online Registration: Complete registration with valid Email ID (keep active till recruitment completion) from 23 Mar to 21 Apr 2026.
• Fill Application Form: Enter personal details, educational qualifications, sports discipline, category, and upload scanned passport photo (max 80KB) and signature (max 30KB) in JPG format.
• Upload Documents: Age proof, ID proof, educational certificates, category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen), SAI contract service proof if applicable.
• Pay Application Fee: Deposit fees online (Rs. 2,000/2,500 based on category).
